Army Agniveer Selection Process
The selection process for the Indian Army Agniveer Recruitment 2024 involves several stages:
- Online Common Entrance Exam (CEE) conducted at various computer-based test centers across India.
- Recruitment rally conducted at approved venues by Army Recruiting Offices (AROs). This phase includes medical examination, document verification, and finalization of the merit list.
- Candidates who clear the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT) are also required to undergo an Adaptability Test. Army Agniveer Salary Details
Candidates who are selected for the Agniveer program within the Armed Forces will be offered a financial package starting at Rs. 4.75 lakhs in the initial year, which will gradually increase to approximately Rs. 6.92 lakhs by the fourth year of service. Apart from the annual package, selected candidates will also be eligible for various allowances including those for risk and hardship, ration, dress, and travel.
Seva Nidhi: Agniveers are required to contribute 30% of their monthly salary towards the Seva Nidhi package, with the government matching their contribution. After completing four years of service, Agniveers will receive a lump-sum payment of Rs. 11.71 lakhs from the Seva Nidhi package along with accrued interest.
Death Compensation: Agniveers are covered by a non-contributory life insurance policy worth Rs. 48 lakhs. Additionally, in the unfortunate event of their demise while on duty, their families will receive an ex-gratia payment of Rs. 44 lakhs.
